Introduction to Whitewater Kayaking
Aimed at paddlers who want to move onto or have limited experience of white water.
This course teaches you the basic essentials of white water handling, and prepares you for some fast improvements in the future.
Key elements we will cover are:
- Reading white water
- Safety
- Ferrying
- Breaking in / breaking out
- River running skills
The main objective of the two days, however, is to give you confidence and inspiration.
Experience needed:
- Competent on flat water
- You do not need to be able to roll!

Non Residential or Full Board at Ffynnon Wen. 4 places per course.
Full board course is inclusive of meals and accommodation at Ffynnon Wen for the two days and use of all equipment. Transport is not included. There is an option for B&B before or after the course.
