REC Emergency 2 Day Course
If you participate in adventurous activities like canoeing, climbing or Mountain Biking, you owe it to your friends to have knowledge and practical experience of first aid.
The course can be dual certificated if required, meaning that the candidate can come away with a 2 day REC certificate as well as an Emergency First Aid at Work HSE certificate.
All subjects will be taught with the focus on wilderness, as opposed to urban, situations:
- Vital Signs
- Emergency action
- Airway Management
- Unconsciousness
- Choking
- Drowning
- Bleeding
- Breathing
- Rescue breathing & CPR
- Shock
- Fractures & Dislocations
- Spinal Injury
- Casualty Handling
- Common Illness
- Problems from heat and cold
We won't make you a paramedic, but you will have the confidence to act quickly and effectively in the event of an accident or illness.
