Getafix Personal Performance Awards Canoe Award

The British Canoeing Canoe Award: learn how to handle a canoe and become a valuable member of your paddling group.

We will provide you with the fundamental skills and knowledge to paddle a canoe. The course is delivered over two days - one open water and one river day so we will get you to the point of being able to take trips out and be a valuable member of your paddling group.

With lots of traditional skills and guided experience with specialist kit this is a great start to your canoeing journey.

There are no pre-requisites for this course (except basic swimming ability) but it is recommended that this won't be your first time in a canoe/you'll have a little canoeing experience. The Canoe Award is on a similar level to the old British Canoeing 3 Star Award
