Leo got his addiction to paddling at 9 years of age when he joined Proteus Canoe Club in Peterborough.
Back then slalom was the thing to do, and Leo competed to a high level, representing Great Britain for 6 years. In those years he raced and trained all over the world, achieving fourth place in the Junior Worlds (Sjoa, Norway), a place in the squad for the Barcelona Olympics, and many wins at Junior Internationals, former British Champion K1 Men U18 (1992), U16 (1990) and U14 (1988).

With her Masters degree in Psychology from The University of Edinburgh, broad experience and ability to bring order to chaos Anna is a fantastic Director of Getafix, at the same time as bringing the next generation of Getafixers into the world and trying to keep Leo’s life organised and sane.

Jason spent his formative years in the RAF Mountain Rescue Service where he qualified as a Mountain Rescue Team Leader and Search and Rescue Medic, ultimately acting as the Medical Training Officer for the 6 UK based RAF Rescue Teams.

I first met Pete when I assessed him for his BCU Five Star Award in Syphon Canyon, Soča, Slovenia when he was 21. He impressed me then as being one of the hottest prospects for both his own paddling and on how solid he was as a leader.

We had our eye on Ollie for quite some time and were consistently impressed by his attitude and approach, as well as the quality of his paddling and adventuring.
